I’m not much of a heels person, but there’s something about summer that makes me want to kick off my go-to chunky sneaks and mules and slip my feet into something a little bit bolder and brighter. Summer heels are the stuff sartorial dreams are made of—the kind of thing we wear in our wildest fashion fantasies (and in our ideal Instagram feeds). What better way is there, then, to dress up a low-key graphic tee and jeans combo than to slide into a pair of on-trend kitten-heeled sandals or to don some vibrant mules?
Even I, a comfort-seeker who can be found wearing the same three outfits over and over again without fail, can’t ignore the inherent appeal of summer heels.
