So… Priyanka Chopra Doesn’t Actually Know How Old Nick Jonas Is

Well…this is awkward. Priyanka Chopra got Nick Jonas’ age wrong and we seriously cannot stop laughing. The actress and singer have been married for nearly a year at this point, and though Priyanka has always been vocal about their 10-year-age gap–and the Jonas Brother having an old soul, this has taken things to the next level.

Recently, The Sky Is Pink actress hopped on Instagram to congratulate her hubby on his latest venture –his new tequila brand Villa One. She gushed, “So proud. When you own your own tequila at 27!” Just in case you didn’t know– Nick’s birthday is fully September 16, 1992, but since he’s turning 27 is a matter of days–perhaps Priyanka was simply rounding up.

However, the internet is clearly not about to live this one down. Thirsty know-it-alls were sliding into the comments immediately saying,

“26* for 14 more days.”

“Uh isn’t he still 26…. just saying.”

“He’s actually 26 not 27.”

“Gf, he’s 26.”

“When you don’t know how old your own husband is… he’s a tequila owner at 26 actually… guess his age really doesn’t matter.”

“Isn’t he 26”

TBH it’s really not that serious and Priyanka’s post is going to be accurate soon anyway, It could also be true that Villa One doesn’t officially launch until after Nick’s birthday so the Quantico alum was just thinking ahead.

Whatever the case may be–even Nick couldn’t be bothered to correct his wife. He said, “My beautiful forever date.”

Anyway, we don’t think Nick’s “actual age” is really on the top of Priyanka’s “too know” list. She and Nick seem to be living their very best lives and Priyanka couldn’t be bothered to edit her caption.

Harry Styles Has Short Hair Now & The Internet Simply Cannot

So, we don’t know how to tell you this, but Harry Styles’ short hair photo is something you will never be able to unsee. We’re all used to seeing the One Direction alum with long flowing hair. However, it looks like the fashion icon has decided to switch up his look, and the internet is crumbling as a result.

We’ve seen Harry with shorter hair–his Met Gala look, for example, involved a cute, cropped hair look. However, his current hairstyle is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The 25-year-old singer was spotted in Italy with his “fresh” new do, and it’s… a look. A Twitter user shared, “Soooo my dad just met harry in Italy…., cannot fucking believe my eyes #HarryStyles.” Despite Harry’s new look, he was also kind enough to take a photo with the Twitter user’s mom. They tweeted, “Here’s another, with my mum, he was so sweet and kind. What an angel.”

Listen we’d all be pleased to meet the “Kiwi” singer too, but this haircut certainly would have thrown for a loop–and that’s exactly how the internet is responding. One fan tweeted, “What did you do your hair @Harry_Styles?” Another added, “harry styles’ and his unexpected hairstyle. ok bye” Another asked, “what kind of jonathon byers looking ass type hair cut is this.. is harry styles okay?”

Harry’s former bandmate Louis Tomlin even got in on the action saying, “EXPLAIN TO ME HOW HARRY AND LOUIS HAVE SWAPPED FACIAL HAIR AND STYLES I AM HAVING AN OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE.”

At this point, it looks like Harry’s new hair is going to be tied-in with his new era of music. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he chatted about getting more vulnerable with his sound and how much of his music will reflect on his past breakup. “It’s not like I’ve ever sat and done an interview and said, ‘So I was in a relationship, and this is what happened,'” he said. “Because, for me, music is where I let that cross over. It’s the only place, strangely, where it feels right to let that cross over.”

Still, we weren’t prepared for this new lewk.

Justin Bieber Just Shared The Most Emotional Post On Instagram & It’s Heartbreaking

This singer has been really vulnerable lately. Justin Bieber’s depression and drug use Instagram post is a heartbreaking look at child stardom. The “Don’t Check On Me” singer has been open about his mental health struggles. Now, he’s gotten super candid about become an international superstar at age 13 and coming from an unstable home. According to Justin–this was the recipe for a child star cliché.

He wrote, “You see I have a lot of money, clothes, cars, accolades, achievements, awards and I was still unfulfilled. Have u noticed the statistics of child stars and the outcome of their life? There is an insane pressure and responsibility put on a child who’s brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making) aren’t developed. No rationality, rebellious, things all of us have to go through. But when you add the pressure of stardom it does something to you that’s quite unexplainable.”

Justin married supermodel Hailey Baldwin last year. Though they planned to have a big wedding last year–they’ve pushed it back so that Justin could work on his mental health. “The best season of my life ‘MARRIAGE’!! All this is to say even when the odds are against you, keep fighting. Jesus loves you.” Read the full post below for yourself.

Now that the singer is set to enter his 26th year, he can reflect on some of the issues that he faced in his younger years. “Rationality comes with age, and so does your decision-making process (one of the reasons you can’t drink until your 21),” he wrote. “So by this point, I was 18 with no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted. This is a very scary concept for anyone.”

Now that Justin has his faith and Hailey, it’s clear that he’s working hard to turn over a new leaf.

Demi Lovato Just Praised TF Out Of Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’

There are times when people just don’t get along, and then there are other times when outside forces are causing chaos. Demi Lovato reacted to Taylor Swift’s Lover album in the sweetest way and people are legit shooketh. It’s true that Demi and Taylor haven’t always had the best relationship. Demi, for her part, has said more than a few shady things about the “ME!” songstress in the past, but it looks like she’s putting all of that behind her.

During the MTV VMAs last week, Swifties were certain that Lovato skipped the awards ceremony to shade Taylor–which wasn’t true. Now, Demi is setting the record straight about her feeling about Taylor. After listening to Lover, Demi posted on her Instagram stories, “Life’s too short for women to not support other women. Especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift.”

Taylor apparently, really appreciated the gesture because she reposted Demi’s story and added, “This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you @ddlovato.”

Recently though the women haven’t had any personal beef, they haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye. Taylor called out Demi’s current manager Scooter Braun for bullying and for attempting to derail her career. Demi was very upset by the accusations and said, “I have dealt with bad people in the industry and Scooter is not one of them. He’s a good man,” she wrote. “Personally, I’m grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop ‘dragging’ people or bullying them. There’s enough hate in this world as it is.”

Still, business is business and just because Demi has had a positive experience with Braun doesn’t mean Taylor has. When the “Sorry Not Sorry” songstress signed with Bran she said on IG,

Dreams came true for me. I officially have a NEW MANAGER. And not just any manager but the one and only. Couldn’t be happier, inspired and excited to begin this next chapter. Thank you for believing in me and for being a part of this new journey.

We’re just glad these ladies are putting their differences aside for the music.

Jordyn Woods Just Gave Travis Scott A Shout Out On IG & What Does It All Mean?

It looks like this lady is more than ready to mend some fences. Jordyn Woods listened to Travis Scott’s music on Instagram means that she and Kylie Jenner could look to repair their friendship in the future. If you didn’t know–despite their near life-long friendship–Jordyn and Kylie are no longer close. This all went down in Feb. 2019 following the drama between Jordyn and Khloé Kardashian’s then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.

Tristan kissed Jordyn at a party, and all hell broke loose. Since Khloé was so devastated about the whole ordeal–Kylie decided to was best to sever ties with Jordyn and move on with her life. Though the ladies are no longer super tight–neither one of them have spoken ill about the other. In fact, Jordyn recently gave Kylie’s beau Travis Scott a shout out during a recent workout.

On her Instagram story–Jordyn shared that she was listening to the Astroworld rapper’s “Wake Up” while getting her workout in. Since Jordyn was by Kylie’s side when she and Travis started dating and when their baby daughter Stormi was born, we’re sure that she also became a fan of Travis’ sound.

Check out the snap for yourself below:

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Jordyn opened up about how devastating the Khloé/Tristan drama was for her. “Sh*t happens,” she said. “And in the end, I never want to see anyone hurt; I would hate to be the reason for anyone’s pain. We all have to go to sleep with ourselves at night.”

She also said that she had to unplug for a bit because she became obsessed with all of the nasty things people were saying about her. She explained. “It becomes addictive to look on the internet, to look at your name. When I would look at my name and see all of the things that people were saying, it became like a tumor. It became cancerous to me.”

As for how Kylie feels about Travis’ shoutout and Jordyn’s Cosmo interview– a source close to the makeup mogul told US Weekly, “[Kylie’s] only sending positivity to Jordyn, but it’s too soon to say [if] they’ll be able to fully reconcile. But time heals a lot of wounds, and the Kardashian/Jenners are a forgiving family.”

How This Aussie Turned a Career in Surfing Into a Swimwear Empire

Carnival Empowered Me to Love My Curves Long Before Body Positivity Was a ‘Trend’

Caribbean culture didn’t just play a vital role in my upbringing. It’s practically embedded in my veins and continues to help shape the woman I am today. As the child of a Trinidadian mother and Kittitian father, I grew up watching the Caribana parade in Toronto, Canada, where the procession of women dancing freely in complex masks and bejeweled costumes became the highlight of my summers. I knew that eventually, the second-hand joy I felt merely watching from the sidelines would no longer suffice. I wanted in.

Carnival remains the backbone of Caribbean identity not only in Canada but across the globe. In most places, celebrations take place over 1-3 days, with various events such as Fete and Jouvert leading up to the parade, also known as the main event. Though its overall origins are tied to colonialism and religion with ancient African customs woven throughout, Carnival celebrations may differ depending on your geography. Today, you’ll find men and women playing mas in (but not limited to) Trinidad, Barbados, Grenada, Antigua, St. Lucia, Jamaica, St. Kitts, and a slew of large cities in North America; most notably Toronto, Miami, and Brooklyn.

In order to play mas (or be in the parade), preparation is key. Parades are made up of “bands,” and if you want to take part, joining a section within one of these organizations is required. Every year, each band selects a detailed theme and spends several months getting ready for the road. Costumes can cost as low as $250 to over $1,400 for a full frontline experience which typically comes with perks, like all-inclusive drinks, meals, goodie bags, makeup retouch stations along the parade route and more.

The design process is perhaps the most intricate (and time-consuming) of all, as costumes are carefully assembled by band leaders and countless volunteers in mas camps designated for production. The groundwork is undoubtedly an impressive feat but ultimately, Carnival’s legacy is so much more.

It symbolizes freedom, pride, and rebellion. The parade is where Caribbean women can free up themselves and dance to the sweet rhythms of soca, calypso, and steel pan without the fear of unfair judgment. As a self-proclaimed Carnival Chaser, the pride and excitement I feel watching women of all shapes and sizes play mas is unwavering. As a teenager, I jumped up with a band for the first time and it transformed the way I looked at traditional definitions of beauty and body image. Observing a certain level of unity and pride from women wukking up in formation and flaunting their bodies symbolized agency.

Nothing has stopped me from playing mas, including the weight fluctuation I continue to experience since becoming a mother in my early ’20s. In fact, I feel sexier, stretchmarks and all, getting dolled up every Carnival season. A confidence this unyielding wouldn’t be possible without the women I watched as a child. In fact, one can argue that masqueraders advocated for body positive spaces and over-the-top beauty choices long before either was embraced by beauty brands and high-profile influencers. Though it may be ahead of its time, the Carnival scene hasn’t been without its own set of challenges too.

Despite masqueraders varying in shape and size, there was a time when most costume designers created garments to suit societal beauty standards. Consequently, a common complaint among participants was that women with curves were left with little simply because they didn’t fit a sample size. However, thanks to the tireless work of seasoned designers like Solange Govia, the Carnival experience is finally a place where inclusion is a lifestyle, not a trend.

Govia, who works with a primarily female team and just released a stunning campaign, Eye of the Soul, in preparation for Trinidad Carnival 2020, is an industry leader spearheading that change. “From the inception of my design career 12 years ago with TRIBE, it has been my personal motivation to always ensure that every woman feels that they have a place and space in the Carnival experience…I’ve always been an advocate for catering to all women in all forms of beauty.”

With Govia’s eye on ensuring that masqueraders feel like they’re being catered to, she’s conscious of the bodily changes and experiences that the average female masquerader has had in their lifetime. Being “all-encompassing as possible,” she notes the importance of her designs accurately reflecting “The Carnival Woman.”

“The beauty in bringing my designs to life largely lies in a female masquerader being happy, looking confident and feeling her best on the road.. you see that from miles away,” she says. “So yes, I’m happy now that we’re taking an open-minded approach and making conscious action to embrace body positivity because it’s not just a global trend. This is our normal here in the Caribbean.”

Women do nothing less than indulge in makeup too, where vibrant eyeshadow, long faux lashes, bright lipstick, diamond studs and more are Carnival staples. For decades, extensive budgets and months of preparation have been devoted to planning the type of looks being lauded on shows like Euphoria today.

“Ever since I was young it was always about getting long nails to match our costume, painting our own sneakers and adding gems, gluing extra feathers to get the right dramatic look and putting bright colors in our hairstyles to match our costume or country of origin,” says fellow Carnival Chaser Sherry Dacosta. “What’s so unique about Carnival is it’s very DIY. The night before mas, women get together for a large sleepover, everyone’s helping everyone out to finish up their last-minute fixes, do each other’s hair and finalize accessories. It’s really emotional and empowering to watch.”

The saying “Carnival is a woman” is often echoed within the Caribbean community. For me, it’s a testament to the women who continue to advocate for themselves and others in a space where body positivity, self-love, and acceptance is a priority, not a choice. Now that’s something worth celebrating.
