Your Weekly Horoscope Is Here (Oh, And A Full Moon, Too)

Welcome to August, and to your weekly horoscope for August 3-9! There is still a concentration of planets in Capricorn: Jupiter (planet of expansion), Pluto (planet of power), and Saturn (planet of foundation) all in retrograde. This retrograde influence encourages us to reflect on and review our goals, ambitions, and responsibilities and adjust where needed. It can inspire powerful insights, too.

Monday brings a lively full moon in Aquarius that angles toward Uranus (planet of change), which can be a call to expect the unexpected. Feelings may be triggered by minor events, and it would be wise to avoid impulsive moves or purchases.

On that same day, Mercury (planet of communication) opposes sobering Saturn, so communication may be more awkward than it should be. We might also tend toward pessimism.

Tuesday brings a more positive influence with Mars (planet of aggression) squaring off with upbeat Jupiter. On the same day, brainy Mercury moves into charismatic Leo for around two weeks.

Finally on Friday, luscious Venus (planet of love) enters nurturing Cancer until September 6.

How the Planets Will Affect Your Zodiac Sign This Week

There could be a spat with a friend or social group as the full moon on Monday aligns with electric Uranus. A difference in values or opinions could cause a falling out. And with messenger Mercury facing off with prudent Saturn, you might not feel in the mood to negotiate or compromise, which could make life difficult.

The pace picks up, though, and you may feel you have the advantage over someone in authority who, while open-minded, might not be as quick off the mark regarding certain matters. Use this chance to help them out and you could be rewarded for your efforts. Just be sure you can follow through.

There’s a creativity alert as dexterous Mercury heads into Leo for around two weeks and encourages you to display your talents. Plus, romance can be a lot of fun, and there is potential to connect with someone who shares your interests.

Finally, the move of Venus into Cancer on Friday encourages you to indulge in some self-care.

Taurus

With fiery Mars continuing to power through your spiritual zone, continue to watch your dreams. They may have a lot of useful guidance if you take the time to interpret them.

Ready to shine this week? You might want to make something public or perhaps promote an idea or message on social media. If so, the full moon can assist you. Be prepared for something unexpected to happen as a result. Make sure you consider all the emotional nuances of your message before you put it out there.

Talkative Mercury livens up your home zone starting Tuesday, and this might find you eager to get organized. With just a little extra planning, you might be able to accomplish much more.

As luscious Venus enters your sector of talk and thought on Friday, the coming weeks can be excellent for negotiation and discussion. Need to smooth over any issues? This is the time to do so.

Gemini

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

You could be a tad disillusioned this week as the truth about something you believe in gets shattered. This may be due to a powerful lunar phase linking to a revolutionary influence. An insight or a leading conversation could help you see things as they really are. And once this has sunk in, you might feel relieved.

The focus on your sector of communication increases as talkative Mercury moves into Leo on Tuesday. The coming two weeks or so bring plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded people, promote your ideas, and catch up with friends and family you haven’t seen in a while.

Are you ready to treat yourself? As sweet Venus moves into your personal financial sector on Friday, the urge to splurge could get stronger. This can be a great time to invest in yourself, though, whether you decide to enhance your image, pay for some exercise equipment, or buy a few treats.

Cancer

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

This week’s full moon in Aquarius and your sector of finance and business may need careful handling. There could be a tendency to make impulsive decisions, and since this influence is rather volatile, that is something you want to avoid. If you get an unexpected bill or other expense, don’t panic. This can be resolved with some savvy thinking.

The week could start on a slightly moody note with talkative Mercury opposing prudent Saturn. Finding the right words to say to someone might not be easy, and you could decide not to bother. However, with lovely Venus moving into your sign on Friday, her soothing influence can encourage you to reach out and smooth over any difficulties. In fact, any lingering issues may be forgotten by that time.

Are you eager to get your finances organized? As calculating Mercury moves into your money zone this week, doing so can be a lot easier.

Leo

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

A potent lunar phase across your relationship axis suggests that feelings could ramp up. With the full moon in Aquarius linking to electric Uranus on Monday, an event, conversation, or encounter could intensify feelings concerning a current issue. This might not be the best time for making wise decisions because there could be a tendency to act unthinkingly on the spur of the moment. When things are calm and settled is the time to choose your course of action.

In addition, with upbeat Mercury opposing prudent Saturn, your mental energy may be lower than usual. If you can take a break from the computer and other gadgets to relax your mind, it could do you so much good.

Quicksilver Mercury moves into your sign on Tuesday, so the coming two weeks can bring a chance to be more expressive. Let your curiosity take the lead.

The move of lovely Venus into your spiritual sector on Friday can make you aware of the benefits of loving yourself more.

Virgo

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

You might need to be flexible at the start of the week because your plans may be disrupted by a lively and volatile full moon. Just as you thought everything was going well, an unexpected opportunity, call, or piece of information could change everything. It is possible that something exciting can come out of this if you avoid overreacting and doing anything on the spur of the moment that you might later regret.

There could be more social distancing at the start of the week when you and a friend can’t seem to agree on something. Try not to fret about this. You may both be back to normal again within a few days.

Finally, chatty Mercury, your guide planet, moves into your spiritual sector for around two weeks, which can make it easier to connect with and discuss those deeper feelings. Much can be released by sharing your joys and worries with a good friend.

Libra

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

Things might be jogging along pleasantly enough when out of the blue an attraction could drive you crazy. An encounter could throw your usual routines into disarray and leave you wanting to spend more time with this person. It could lead to a full-blown romance, but at what cost? If the coast is clear and all is well, then enjoy yourself.

At the same time, there could be a disconnect between you and a family member early in the week, which could cause some angst at the time. However, as luscious Venus moves into Cancer on Friday, her caring presence can inspire you to talk things over and perhaps find a compromise. At the same time, the move of lovely Venus into your sector of goals suggests that a little charm can help grease the wheels of business and commerce.

Are you ready to enjoy some socializing? As talkative Mercury joins the sun in Leo, the coming two weeks could find you eager to reach out and make some positive new connections.

Scorpio

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

The full moon in your home and family sector on Monday can highlight your work/life balance and encourage you to rethink your schedule. With lively input from restless Uranus, this lunar phase could hold a few surprises for you, particularly if someone’s words hit a sore spot. This more than anything could cause you to take action and make changes to your plans or schedule sooner than you might otherwise.

Inquisitive Mercury opposes prudent Saturn on the same day, so you and another may not see eye to eye. It might take until the end of the week, when lovely Venus moves into Cancer, before you feel ready to reach out and make amends.

In addition, sweet Venus will be in your sector of fresh opportunities and far horizons, which could endear you to someone from another country or culture who seems to be very much on your wavelength.

Finally, as talkative Mercury moves into the top spot in your chart, it’s time to showcase your knowledge and credentials.

Sagittarius

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

Adobe. Design: Cierra Miller/STYLECASTER.

You might be eager to reach out for something different that can take you out of your comfort zone. This week, though, with a dynamic full moon highlighting the potential to be found in your local area, you could find new opportunities closer to home. You could run into a friend or get an unexpected offer that leads to a discovery you might want to take advantage of. It could throw certain plans into confusion, but would that be so bad?

Also on Monday, a stubborn Mercury-Saturn face-off could hint at cash-flow issues. It might be just as well to keep some money handy just in case.

Meandering Mercury moves into Leo and your adventure zone on Tuesday, so this can be an excellent time to begin a course of study that bolsters your skills and qualifications, especially if you’re looking for a new job.

Finally, as sweet Venus enters a passionate zone on Friday, a relationship could move into more intimate waters.

Capricorn

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

Adobe. Design: Cierra Miller/STYLECASTER.

A powerful lunar phase in your money zone could bring an urge to treat yourself, and why not? With electric Uranus sending sparkling vibes from your leisure zone, it’s time to surprise yourself by doing something fun for a change. So what if it costs money? You truly deserve it.

Even so, you could find it hard to communicate with someone on Monday, and this might leave them wondering what’s up. It will be easier to smooth things over by Friday, though, as luscious Venus moves into your relationship zone. Be the one to reach out and talk, and your relationship may be back to normal fairly soon.

In addition, with sultry Venus in this sector, your love life could perk up and your dating efforts bring more interesting results.

Finally, dealmaker Mercury moves into an intense zone related to shared assets and business, so the coming two weeks or so are perfect for creating a strategy regarding a lucrative business project.

Aquarius

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

Adobe. Design: Cierra Miller/STYLECASTER.

This week’s full moon in your sign could coincide with the completion of a project and perhaps a feeling of satisfaction at a job well done.

As it also occurs across your relationship axis, feelings could ramp up, particularly if issues have been bubbling away beneath the surface. Is there something you need to discuss? A link to insightful Uranus hints that tackling a key issue can help unravel it, bringing insights and perhaps solutions.

Have you been worried about something? Clever Mercury opposes prudent Saturn across your chart, so the start of the week could find you ruminating on something without coming to any firm conclusions. Let it go. The answer could show up when your mind is occupied with something else.

Finally, sultry Venus moves into your lifestyle sector on Friday, so there may be more of a tendency to indulge, particularly if you’re feeling emotional about anything. At the same time, making a point of eating wholesome and nourishing food can encourage positive dietary habits.

Pisces

STYLECASTER | zodiac signs horoscopes

Adobe. Design: Cierra Miller/STYLECASTER.

This week’s powerful full moon in your spiritual sector can be a call to rethink your agenda. If you’ve been using a lot of mental energy, this may be a call to give it a rest. This is particularly the case if your mind is racing and you find it difficult to get to sleep at night. Turning off your gadgets, reducing your screen time, and taking walks in nature can soothe and recharge you.

It’s possible that a developing bond could experience a hitch early on, making communication a little edgy. Avoid turning this into a major development. If you’re willing to let it go, it will soon be forgotten. Besides, with harmonious Venus moving into Cancer and your romance sector on Friday, those loving and caring feelings can quickly return.

Finally, with chatty Mercury moving into your lifestyle sector this week, getting organized and developing your time-management skills could help you be more productive.

BTS Is Releasing *Another* Album This Year—Here’s Everything We Know So Far

With more and more details being revealed every day about forthcoming records from our very own Bangtan Boys, you already know we’re keeping our eyes peeled for BTS’ album 2020 release date, tracklist, and news. ARMYs are constantly sleuthing for the next hint we can find when it comes to their idols’ next moves—thankfully, more has already been revealed.

For a minute there, it seemed like any new BTS album was a lost cause. With the boys canceling their concerts in 2020 in light of recent social distancing guidelines (and in favor of an increased focus on charity efforts), ARMYs were beginning to settle into the harsh reality—alongside BTS—that all plans were being put on hold indefinitely. But things started looking up when BTS members began reconnecting with fans on the Korean app V-Live, with streams under the hashtags #StayConnected and #CarryOn. By June 2020, the BTS crew had confirmed that their Japanese-language version of Map of the Soul: 7, annotated, as ~The Journey ~, would officially be coming out on July 15. But could there be yet another on the way?

After months of fans theorizing, BTS’ album 2020 is confirmed. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

A version of this article was originally published in April 2020.

Is BTS’ album 2020 confirmed?

Yes! BTS confirmed another new album in 2020 in a V-Live on July 26, 2020. The band also revealed that they will be releasing a new single on August 21, 2020, which will be entirely in English. “We have prepared a new single for ARMY, set for August 21. We are preparing an album for the second half of this year, but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible,” BTS shared. “Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans.”

The band continued, “The song is upbeat and sung in English, just like ‘MIC Drop’ and ‘Waste It on Me.’ We thought that the song sounded perfect as it is in English. We recorded the guide version and felt that the result was something totally new and fresh.”

As for why they decided to release a new song and a second album this year, BTS told fans that they wanted to lift spirits up during these unprecedented times. “We also needed a breakthrough during these unforeseen times, so we worked on this new song. This is a new challenge for us as well,” BTS shared. “When we first heard and recorded the song, we were energized and our spirits were lifted up. We can’t wait to share this song with you all and enjoy it together.”

The confirmation of BTS’ album 2020 comes after RM teased that the band was working on “something new.” On April 16, Namjoon took to YouTube to host an impromptu discussion with ARMYs. “This [live] content doesn’t have a particular name or anything,” he explained. “I think we decided to prepare such a thing because a lot of the concerts and such have been pushed back or canceled for a prolonged period of time; we thus decided to try something new.”

Fans wondered at the time if this “something new” included a new album. Now we now it does.

When is BTS’ album 2020 release date?

In their announcement in July, BTS didn’t specify when the release date for their new album would be but that fans should expect their LP in the “second half of this year.” Their first single, titled “Dynamite,” will be released on August 21, 2020.

BTS’ most recent album, Map of the Soul: 7, was released in early 2020. Before the official announcement of their second album in 2020, Namjoon confirmed in an April live stream that the boys were already working hard at new music.

https://twitter.com/doyou_bangtan/status/1251072139773349888?s=20

“An album will be released,” he promised during his April 16, 2020, Livestream. “An album is being released, but we’ve only just kicked off, so there haven’t been any in-depth decisions made regarding what sort of song we’ll do, what our title [track] will be like. We’ve only just started talks about it.”

Before the announcement, fans on Twitter also speculated that the album would come in August 2020 based on various clues. Some ARMYs focused on comments uploaded by BTS’ fandom fictional universe account, @Smeraldo_Books. On July 10, 2020, the account teased that something new was definitely coming this summer. Historically, notices from Smeraldo blogs coincide a month before another BTS comeback. “we MIGHT have a COMEBACK in August,” wrote one Twitter user. “we got the Smeraldo blog post every year on July 10 (except 2019), it’d always say a new month of “planning to open a flower shop,” they added, indicating that notices from July 2017 lined up with a release by September, and in July 2018, a release followed in August. The theory predicted that fans could be seeing a new BTS album in either August 2020 or September 2020.

What’s the BTS album 2020 tracklist?

There’s no tracklist as of yet. But if BTS’ rollout tactics stay the same, we can probably expect to see a sneak peek ahead of their release. But! BTS did announce the title of their first single from their album 2020 in August. The song, titled “Dynamite,” will be released on August 21.

Every Celebrity Who Has Tested Positive For Coronavirus

As we know, coronavirus doesn’t discriminate. People of all races, backgrounds and incomes have tested positive for COVID-19, and as celebrities with coronavirus show, anyone can be affected. But that isn’t a reason to be scared. As we’ve said before, we’re all in this together (à la High School Musical), and it’s going to be OK.

It’s unclear when coronavirus started, but researchers believe that the virus has animal origins and was first spread to people in Wuhan, China, in November or December 2019. The disease has since spread worldwide, including to Hollywood, where some celebrities have tested positive for COVID-19.

Among those stars is a politician’s wife, a celebrity couple and a fan-favorite athlete. Ahead, we’ve rounded up the celebrities who have tested positive for coronavirus so far. As some of these stars reassure us, there’s no reason to freak out and it’s best to remain positive in such an unsure time. (Leave it to Tom Hanks to be a beacon of hope amid a pandemic.) So before we come to conclusions, let’s look at these cheerful celebrity responses to coronavirus as a sign that the world will move on from this and become better. Find out which celebrities have tested positive for coronavirus so far ahead.

A version of this story was published in March 2020. It will continue to be updated as news breaks.

Lena Dunham

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

In an Instagram post in August, the Girls creator revealed that she was diagnosed with COVID-19 in mid-March after she experienced a fever of 102 degrees and achy joints that turned into “crushing fatigue.” “Suddenly my body simply… revolted. The nerves in my feet burned and muscles wouldn’t seem to do their job. I couldn’t sleep but I couldn’t wake up. I lost my sense of taste and smell. A hacking cough, like a metronome keeping time,” she wrote. “Inability to breathe after simple tasks like getting a glass of water. Random red washes. A pounding headache right between my eyes. It felt like I was a complex machine that had been unplugged and then had my wires rerouted into the wrong inputs.”

Dunham shared her story with the disease, which lasted 21 days, as a warning to those who aren’t social distancing. “Seeing the carelessness with which so many in the United States are treating social distancing, people jogging without masks and parties on Instagram, I feel compelled to be honest about the impact this illness has had on me, in the hopes that personal stories allow us to see the humanity in what can feel like abstract situations,” she wrote.

Anna Camp

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

The Pitch Perfect star took to her Instagram in July to reveal that she tested positive for COVID-19 after not wearing a mask one time. “Hi friends… I felt it was my responsibility to share that I ended up getting Covid-19,” she wrote. “I have since tested negative, but I was extremely sick for over three weeks and still have lingering symptoms. I was incredibly safe. I wore a mask. I used hand sanitizer. One time, when the world was starting to open up, I decided to forgo wearing my mask in public. One. Time. And I ended up getting it.”

She continued, “I believe it may have been because of that one time. People are saying it’s like having the flu, but I’ve had the flu, and this is absolutely not that. The panic of contracting a virus that is basically untreatable and is so new that no one knows the long term irreparable damage it does to your immune system is unbelievably stressful. Completely losing my sense of smell and taste without knowing when or even if they will return is extremely disorienting. I’m only smelling about 30 percent of how I used to now. Other persistent symptoms are (a month later) dizziness, extreme fatigue, impacted sinuses, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, and fever. I’m lucky. Because I didn’t die. But people are. Please wear ur mask. It can happen any time. And it can happen to anyone. Even that one time you feel safe. We can all make a difference. Wearing a mask is saving lives. Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on me during this scary time. Please be safe out there. Let’s all do our part and wear a mask. I don’t want any of you to go through what I did. Even though it’s a little thing, it can have a huge impact, and it’s so incredibly easy to do.”

Kanye West

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

In a July 2020 interview with Forbes, West revealed that he had COVID-19 in February. “Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” he said. “I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was, ‘Drake can’t be sicker than me!’” he said in the interview. (Drake, for his part, tested negative in March.)

Zoey Deutch

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

In an interview with Vulture in May 2020, Deutch revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 “early on” and recovered after a month. “I had the coronavirus early on, before the shutdown, and a group of my friends also got it,” she wrote. “People keep asking me, ‘Where did you get it?’ and I wish I knew. I feel like I could have spoken in a more eloquent way about my experience had I known.”

She continued, “I continued testing positive for a month, which is longer than they’re saying you’re supposed to…I also feel guilty, in a way, for making it out OK. I think this virus is bringing up so many conflicting emotions.”

Sam Smith

While Smith hasn’t tested positive for coronavirus, the singer told radio host Zane Lowe in a FaceTime interview in April that they believe they had and recovered from the disease. “I didn’t get tested but I know I have it. I’m just going to assume that I did because everything I’ve read completely pointed to that. So yeah, I think I definitely had it,” Smith said. “I’ve got an older Nan, so we didn’t want to risk anything,”

The Grammy winner continued, “As everyone was kind of really on lockdown, that’s when I got over it, luckily.”

Sara Bareilles

https://twitter.com/PopCrave/status/1245870617666007041?s=20

The “Love Song” singer took to her Instagram Story in April to reveal that she had also tested positive for COVID-19. The Grammy winner assured her followers that she’s recovered from the virus but was positive at some time. She didn’t specify when she received her positive diagnosis, but she urged her followers to take care of themselves. “I had it, just so you know. I’m fully recovered, just so you know. And I am just thinking about all the people who are walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love and just being really grateful for every easy breath and every day that I get to be walking around,” she said at the time. “I’m really quiet right now and will probably continue to be quiet, just sort of taking all of this in and having a lot of feelings, as I do.”

Pink

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

The “So What” singer revealed in an Instagram post in April that she and her 3-year-old son, Jameson, had tested positive for COVID-19. The Grammy winner explained that she and Jameson had received their positive diagnosis two weeks before her Instagram post but kept the news private until they could recover and retest as negative. “Two weeks ago my three-year-old son, Jameson, and I were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive,” she wrote at the time. “My family was already sheltering at home and continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago, we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.”

Caroline Lunny

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

The Bachelor Nation star, who competed on Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor, revealed in an Instagram on April 1 that she tested positive for COVID-19. “I have coronavirus. I don’t know why I feel embarrassed by this, like I feel like no one is ever going to want to hang out with me ever again,” she said. Lunny’s Instagram came after her followers criticized her for wearing a medical-grade mask when healthcare workers need them. “But everyone was dming me attacking me for wearing this mask yesterday when healthcare workers need them…” she wrote. “I’m so grateful for all the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, delivery people, grocery store workers, and everyone else who’s on the front line making this world keep turning right now. But please stop dming me and attacking me and saying awful things to me for wearing a mask to protect my family. Im allowed to wear a mask.”

Prince Charles

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

Clarence House confirmed on March 25 that Prince Charles had tested positive for coronavirus. “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for coronavirus,” Clarence House said in a statement. “He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home through the last few days as usual.”

The royal residence also confirmed that Charles’ wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, was also tested but does not have the virus. “The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus,” Clarence House’s statement continued. “In accordance with government and medical advice, the prince and the duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland. The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.”

Greta Thunberg

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

Activist Greta Thunberg disclosed on her Instagram in March that she too has tested positive for COVID-19. “Many (especially young people) might not notice any symptoms at all, or very mild symptoms. Then they don’t know they have the virus and can pass it on to people in risk groups. We who don’t belong to a risk group have an enormous responsibility, our actions can be the difference between life and death for many others,” she wrote, urging young people to stay inside even if they don’t feel symptomatic.

Aaron Tveit

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

In March, Tviet, who starred in the film adaptation of Les Miserables, revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19. “Hey everyone. I just wanted to update you all that I’ve found out that I’ve tested positive for Covid-19. I’ve been in quarantine since Broadway shows shut down on Thursday, March 12th, and I’m feeling much better,” Tveit, who currently stars in Broadway’s Moulin Rouge, wrote. “I consider myself extremely lucky that my symptoms have been very mild – cold like with no fever – as so many are experiencing much more serious symptoms, because this is a very dangerous virus. One thing I have been experiencing is the loss of taste and smell, which I think is a big sign for people who are otherwise asymptotic.”

“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” he wrote in his caption. “As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better. I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.”

Colton Underwood

The former Bachelor revealed in an Instagram video on March 20 that he tested positive for coronavirus. In the video, Underwood urged his younger followers to take the disease seriously. He explained that, even though he works out regularly and is 28 years old, he still can’t walk up a flight of stairs without losing his breath. “I tested positive and I have been following all of the social distancing rules since last week,” he wrote in the caption. “My symptoms started a few days ago, I was tested and just received my results today. For anyone out there that is hesitant to self quarantine… please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay home. We will all beat this and come out stronger on the other side. I’ll keep you posted, Love y’all.”

The Lost alum revealed in a 10-minute Instagram video on March 19. In the video, Kim explained that he was in New York City filming a TV show, and it wasn’t until he flew home to Hawaii to quarantine did he experience his first symptom of the virus. “For the past several weeks, I was in New York shooting a role on a TV series where, ironically, I play a doctor who gets recruited by a hospital to help patients during a flu pandemic,” he said. ““As the flight was close to landing, I started noticing some scratchiness in my throat, which is unlike how I usually get sick. When I landed, I called my family doctor in Hawaii and he told me to monitor my symptoms.”

Again, let’s please be mindful of our decisions — now is the time to be smart and responsible. Let’s take care of one another!!”

Matthews, who is 26, explained that she at first had a “sore throat, fatigue and a headache,” which later led to a “mild fever (100.3), horrible body aches, chills, sharp pain in lungs, started a dry cough, no appetite.” And while her fever has healed, the actress said that her “lungs got much worse (resulting in deep, dry cough) shortness of breath.”

Kristofer Hivju

We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold,” he captioned a photo of him and his wife, Gry Molvaer, “There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading.”

He continued, “Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy! Please visit your country’s Center for Disease Control’s website, and follow the regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves, but our entire community, and especially those at risk like the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions.”

The actor revealed in a Twitter video on March 16 that he tested positive for coronavirus. In the video, Elba explained that he and his wife, Sabrina Dhowre, have not shown any symptoms. “Hey, what’s up guys? So this morning I got some test results back for Coronavirus and it came back positive,” he said. “Yep. And it sucks. Listen, I’m doing OK. Sabrina hasn’t been tested and she’s doing OK. I didn’t have any symptoms. I got tested because I realized I was exposed to someone who had also tested positive. I found out last Friday that they were tested positive, I quarantined myself and got tested immediately and got the results back today.”

Hanks announced in mid March that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, had tested positive for coronavirus while they were in Australia. Hanks, who was in Australia for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Elvis biopic, posted a photo of a trash bag and gloves and a caption where he urged his followers to stay positive.

“Hello, folks. @ritawilson and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” he wrote. “Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves! Hanx!”

A day later, Hanks updated his followers on his condition and revealed that he was in isolation to prevent the disease from spreading. While he reiterated how serious the virus is for those who have weak immune systems, he again joked in the way only Tom Hanks could in such a serious situation. “Hello folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else,” he wrote. “There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx.”

Hanks’ wife, actress Rita Wilson, also took to her Instagram to update her followers on her health. In her caption, Wilson (who also shared a selfie of her and her husband) thanked her fans for their love and prayers. “A little update below to all of you from@tomHanks and myself. So grateful for the outpouring of prayers, love and support. Means so much and strengthens us,” she wrote. ( PS go to @tomhanks Instagram to see the message since the repost didn’t work).”

In the same vein as her husband’s humor, Wilson also joked on her Twitter about how the only “corona” she wants in the future is a beer. “From here on out, the only Corona I want is from Mexico and you drink it,” she tweeted.

Sophie Trudeau

Sophie Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, has also tested positive for coronavirus. CNN reported that Sophie has mild symptoms and will remain in isolation for 14 days as she continues to recover. According to a statement from the office, Sophie came down with flu-like symptoms after a speaking engagement in mid-March before she tested positive a day later. “The Prime Minister is in good health with no symptoms. As a precautionary measure and following the advice of doctors, he will be in isolation for a planned period of 14 days,” the statement continued. “For the same reason, doctors say there is no risk to those who have been in contact with him recently.”

After the news of her COVID-19 test, Sophie thanked those who reached out to her amid her health concerns. “Although I’m experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of the virus, I will be back on my feet soon,” she said, according to CNN. “Being in quarantine at home is nothing compared to other Canadian families who might be going through this and for those facing more serious health concerns.”

Daniele Rugani

Rugani, a Juventus F.C. soccer player, tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-March. The diagnosis led Rugani’s teammates, including Cristiano Ronaldo, to quarantine themselves after they played a game together days before Rugani’s positive test. “Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him,” the team said in a statement.

I Keep Falling For Famous TikTok Boys—But There’s Always A Catch

Who can resist a male TikTok star in all his stereotypical six-pack, shaggy-haired glory? I certainly couldn’t, especially not when the one I’d been crushing on texted me that he was ready to “link.” I was laying in my hotel room at 1:00 a.m. during a digital influencer convention (I was on the talent roster for the weekend), scrolling aimlessly through Instagram when I received the spontaneous message.

I sat up and glanced at myself in the mirror, my less-than-ideal appearance reflecting back at me—retainer, frizzy strands and all. I debated leaving him on Read, but how could I? There was no way I could say no to those blue eyes, dimples and that goofy grin summoning me to his hotel room. I fixed myself up as best I could (messy buns with scrunchies have their own special, girl-next-door allure) and took the elevator to his floor.

As the doors opened, I saw at least 100 screaming tweens chasing him down the hallway. Though a creator myself and not a fellow fan, I could relate entirely to their excitement and adoration. Watching him autograph their arms and pause for selfies, I blushed with pride with the knowledge that he wanted to see me—I was the chosen one, the girl he was actually interested in spending time with. It felt too good to be true. I pushed my way through the crowd to reach him, and once I was within a few feet, he took my hand and brought me inside his private suite, leaving dozens of devotees lingering outside his doorstep.

No matter how hard I search for a grain of genuine emotion, I’m usually left lost and disappointed.

I’d like to say that what followed was pure magic, but in reality, it was just 90 minutes of nothing special. There were no meaningful discussions about life, no declarations of our feelings for one another. Just a highly anticipated lip lock—nothing more. When I left his hotel room so he could get some sleep, I passed the same group of girls still waiting outside, but I no longer felt lucky. I had been used and quickly discarded, just like the signature piece of gum he often spit out before taking the stage.

Full disclosure: This wasn’t the first time I’d been drawn to this type of guy. I tend to repeat the pattern, hypnotized by the shameless confidence and all-too-perfect physical appearance that these young male influencers exude. They don’t necessarily have any standout talents (well, a few of them sing or dance), yet I can’t help but want to get involved. I kick myself for continually falling for them. No matter how hard I search for a grain of genuine emotion, I’m usually left lost and disappointed.

That’s the thing about social media boys: Their egos are the center of their universe. They’ll entertain me in an attempt to build their platforms, but will sever ties the second they land a female with more followers. To them, romance is a numbers game, with any underlying emotions or potential for a meaningful relationship overshadowed by the opportunity to put on a “show” for their fandom.

The saddest part? Most of the time, these boys aren’t even the ones pulling the strings. A parent or manager is usually in full control, deciding who the talent should collab with, when they’re available, etc. I’m fully aware that the odds are stacked against me when seeking a connection with this kind of guy, yet I can’t control the fact that they make my heart beat faster, or that they occupy the majority of my midnight fantasies. I can’t help but hold onto hope that maybe, just maybe, they yearn for romance as well.

I can’t help but hold onto hope that maybe, just maybe, they yearn for romance as well.

One summer, I fell head-over-heels in love with a social media stud I met on tour, and I thought for sure he felt the same. In fact, he even admitted he was falling for me, allowing me to believe in a future sans digital distractions getting in the way of our emotions. Then, it was as if he flipped a switch. Out of nowhere, photos of us vanished from his feed and were replaced by shirtless selfies. Without explanation, he cut off all forms of communication, leaving a raw, open wound where he once occupied my heart.

I’d like to say that I was surprised by that tumultuous breakup, but a part of me expected it all along. Sure, I had fallen in love, but I had simultaneously fallen for a social media boy’s typical tricks, driving me to question my own value and worth. I had been led on, used as a distraction from the everyday stressors of the influencer world.

After several rendezvous with popular creators, I’ve finally acknowledged that I deserve better. I’m not just a TikTok accessory or temporary hookup—I’m a real girl with genuine emotions, who just wants to love and be loved. I can’t stop myself from swooning over social media boys, but I can try to lower my expectations. Next time I come across one of these drool-worthy males, I’ll try my best to smile, then look the other way.

I know that, somewhere, a perfectly imperfect companion who is vulnerable and open to love is waiting for me. Here’s hoping he doesn’t have an Instagram.

Smudge-Proof Liquid Eyeliners That Seriously Stay Put All Day

Whether you’re into a subtle flick (also affectionately referred to as the kitten eye) or tend to opt for a statement-making cat-eye wing if you’ve ever used liquid eyeliner, you know that mastering any of these looks without any mishaps during the application process is a skill that can take years of patience, practice, and of course, the right products—even if you’re not a newcomer to the formula and have a relatively steady hand. Sure, pencil eyeliners are great for rimming the waterline or creating a smokey eye look, but liquid eyeliners allow for a line that’s precise and expressive.

Look, we definitely get it—the whole trial-and-error period of figuring out how to get liquid liner right isn’t exactly an easy feat. With one slight slip of the hand, you can destroy the entire look and have start completely over. Plus, unlike other eyeliner formulas, liquid liners also tend to be super fast-drying (which yes, helps them stay put all day) but this renders them a bit unforgiving for slip-ups and mistakes. Fortunately, there are plenty of formulas available that offer ease of use without compromising staying power or putting you at risk of midday smudges. Scroll through below to check out some of our favorite smudge-proof and beginner-friendly liquid liners to try for yourself.

13 DIY Coffee Scrub Recipes—From Face Masks to Hair Treatments

All these years we’ve been downing coffee like it’s our job—without even realizing that putting a DIY coffee scrub on our face could change our lives as much as it does our groggy mood every morning. Any cheap, easy DIY beauty recipe is golden in our eyes, and when you consider the beauty benefits of coffee—like antioxidants and exfoliation—it only makes sense to use it in our regular routines. As a natural exfoliator, coffee helps to slough away dry, dead skin to reveal a real glow. It also can add an extra shine to dull, dried out hair. Plus, it smells amazing.

Most of the ingredients for the recipes below are already in your kitchen, so what are you waiting for? Smoother skin and shinier hair, right this way.
