Caitlyn Jenner Is Feuding with Kris, Kylie & Kendall Over the Name of Her Skin-Care Line

Game of Thrones thinks they have family drama? Think again. This is the real world, and the Jenner family is in full battle mode. Caitlyn Jenner is starting her own skin-care line, and it’s causing some ~major~ drama within the family. According to The Blast, there are some big legal arguments going down between Caitlyn and her two youngest daughters—Kylie and Kendall—because the young reality stars don’t want their last name associated with Caitlyn’s new product line. Even the girls “momager,” Kris, has gotten involved.  Kris, Kylie, Kendall and Caitlyn Jenner are feuding right now over whether Caitlyn is legally allowed to use “Jenner Skincare” or “Skincare by Jenner” as titles for her new line of products.

The issue comes down to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where Caitlyn submitted her proposed names. Kylie already has a registration with them for “Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner,” and the officials feel that her father’s submissions are way too similar. Kendall and Kris also have similar trademarks. Even though Kris took her ex-husband’s last name, she got to the patent first, so it’s hers to protect. “In the eyes of the USPTO, first application wins,” The Blast explained.

Who knew it would be so difficult to create a product line with your own name? We guess when your entire family is full of reality stars branching into their own endeavors, it’s better to think further ahead and “reserve” your trademarks first. Honestly, we’re not surprised Kris beat Caitlyn to the punch—that mom is always 10 steps ahead of everyone.

All hope for Caityln’s new skincare line is not lost, though. She can legally use, “Caitlyn Jenner Skincare” and “Skincare By Caitlyn Jenner.” The problem comes she removes her first name. If it were just “Jenner Skincare” it would potentially confuse fans by implying that Kendall, Kylie or Kris are involved or associated with the beauty products.

But tension might continue within the family though, as Kylie reportedly has plans to start her own skin-care line. Daughter and father would be rivaling one another! It sounds like an episode of Game Of Thrones … or, you know, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Rihanna’s Everyday Makeup Routine Is Surprisingly Simple

Since we don’t have Rihanna on speed dial (it would be super dope if we did), we pay attention when she provides tips and tricks on applying makeup. If you didn’t know, the songstress and beauty mogul takes to YouTube with her new series, “Tutorial Tuesdays” to share deets on her beauty routine, and we have every episode on repeat. This time around, Rihanna’s everyday makeup tutorial was outlined, including her favorite Fenty Beauty products, and it’s surprisingly more low-maintenance than we’d assume.

For starters, she dives into her eye look, using various shades from Fenty Beauty’s Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette ($59; sephora.com) to create a bronze and gold lid that’s fitting for both work and play. To warm up her eyes, she coats lids with the bronze shade “Come and Get It” and followed by chocolate hue, “Hennessey” in the corners of her eye creating “natural definition” reminiscent of a winged cat-eye. Her pointer for applying dark shadows? Be intentional. To finish off her lids, RiRi sweeps a lighter champagne shadow across her top lash line and adds pops of sparkle in the inner corner of the eye because that’s where the light hits most, obvi.

As for complexion, highlighter is the focus for Rihanna’s everyday look. She swept Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter ($34; fentybeauty.com) in “Hustla Baby” across her cheekbones, down the bridge of her nose and under the arch of her brow because looking lit from every angle is a must.

And in typical Rihanna fashion, it’s not a polished look without a poppin’ nude lip. This time around, she featured her  Stunna Lip Paint ($24; fentybeauty.com) in “Unbotton” and “Unveil”. Her secret to making the lip color look bomb? Tapping the edges of her pout. She points out that this method is important after applying a color that is lighter or similar to her skin tone for balanced blending.

Now that we have a sneak-peek into Rihanna’s daily makeup routine (or so we’d like to think), it seems just a tiny bit easier to get ready for work or a night out. Just tap into that RiRi confidence—and make sure the light is reflecting from your face.

Blac Chyna’s Striped Jumpsuit Reminds Me of a Gum Wrapper, but She Still Looks Hot

Blac Chyna has been hitting us with some killer looks via her Instagram lately. (If you haven’t seen the video she posted featuring FashionNova lingerie, what are you even doing with your life? Open a new tab and watch that shit right now.) Not every look Chyna has donned has been a fave of mine, but she can pretty much pull off anything. Wednesday, Blac Chyna wore a striped jumpsuit that reminds of a gum wrapper, but she totally worked it.

The model and mom uploaded multiple photos of herself wearing a skin-tight striped jumpsuit in Hawaii, and honestly, it’s a mood. The jumpsuit’s stripes were a combination of green, blue, black and white, which tied back perfectly with Blac Chyna’s blue hair. Chyna rocked the jumpsuit sans shirt (and from the looks of it, sans anything), her most noticeable accessory being a silver necklace. And, giving a nod to Ariana Grande, Chyna captioned one photo with “Thank you, NEXT!” She then proceeded to post two more photos of the ensemble, making it so we really did have to say “thank you” and move on to the next pic. It was an iconic move.

While Blac Chyna looks incredible in this striped jumpsuit, all I can think about is how it looks like a gum wrapper from my childhood. Remember, it was the gum with the zebra temporary tattoos? It was called Fruit Stripe Gum, and it was delicious and colorful—even though the flavor only ever lasted about five seconds. Chyna’s jumpsuit is basically a subtle homage to the fruity treat, and I can’t unsee it. She’s like a sexy version of a beloved childhood memory, and it’s all kinds of confusing.

Jameela Jamil, Samira Wiley and Busy Philipps Are Aerie Real’s New Ambassadors

With the state of the world as it is right now—no need for examples, because there are probably 20 things I could list that will bum us all out—it’s really fucking nice to have some positive news. After reading garbage news after garbage news, finding out that the newest additions to the 2019 Aerie Real Campaign are people are I truly adore was just what I (and all of us) needed. Jameela Jamil, Samira Wiley and Busy Philipps are joining the Aerie Real team this year, and I finally feel seen.

Before this year, Aerie Real was already committed to using plus-size and racially diverse models, like Iskra Lawrence and poet Cleo Wade, but this year adds brings some new diversity to the table. Jameela Jamil, who has spent years as a vocal advocate for body positivity, is half Indian and half Pakistani (and all British hottie). Handmaid’s Tale’s Samira Wiley brings LGBTQ+ representation to the brand. Busy Philipps adds age diversity. Plus, all three women are on my shortlist for my dream squad, which might be the biggest honor of all.

Seriously, it’s like the universe got something right for once in its damn life. I actually follow the lives of Jamil, Wiley and Philipps, and while I know social media doesn’t show us everything, I have to say, all three of these ladies have been real and outspoken about things that matter. They’re celebrities I actually want to see modeling clothes I might buy.

Jamil has consistently spoken out against airbrushing, diet fads and promoting unhealthy body image—most recently at the BlogHer Health conference—which makes her a perfect match for Aerie Real. Wiley’s wedding made me legitimately cry because she and her wife are such an incredible couple. Philipps is constantly sharing actually relatable content about being a mom with a successful career. If these women aren’t amazing selections to be role models for Aerie customers, I don’t know who is.

I’ve never been a fan of commercials, but I would happily have these three on my screen all day.

A Beginner’s Guide to Oral Sex, as Told by Oral Sex Fans (and Experts)

Many of us know that there’s an orgasm gap; one study of 800 college students found that 91 percent of men reported orgasming most of the time during partnered sex—meanwhile only 39 percent of women did. That’s absurd. With lesbian women being much more likely to orgasm during sex (according to a survey of 6,151 people), and the simple fact that tons of women orgasm from clitoral stimulation, it should come as no surprise that many of us are trying to close to orgasm gap by talking more openly about—and encouraging more—oral sex.

Whether you already know that oral sex is your everything, or you’re still trying to figure things out, learning more about oral sex—and how to have good oral sex—really can’t do you wrong.

So why, exactly, do so many women enjoy oral sex?

“The focus is completely on you and your vulva,” explains Gigi Engle, certified sex coach, educator and feminist writer. “Your clitoris FINALLY gets the attention it deserves.” (In case this wasn’t a part of your sex education or personal experiences, it’s worth noting that the clitoris is a really, really amazing body part. It’s offers feelings that differ from what you might feel during vaginal sex.)

While acts beyond oral sex can obviously offer stimulation to the clit, oral sex offers a specific sensation that many people enjoy, according to Engle. “The external clitoris is highly sensitive,” she says. “A tongue can often offer more pleasure (and less friction) than a hand. It can feel wetter, lighter and more pleasurable to take you from plateau to orgasm.”

If you’ve never had oral sex, the concept of someone’s mouth on your vulva might seems strange. But it’s that strange and specific feeling that is what makes oral sex so unique. “To be frank, a tongue or lips on a clitoris feels AMAZING,” Gigi explains. “That’s why we love it, in a nutshell.” (Not sure if you needed proof that tongues are amazing, but now you have it.)

Many women and femmes enjoy oral sex, and for a wide variety of reasons—including (but not limited to) how amazing it feels.

Sarah*, 27 year old bisexual woman, explains, “I love giving and receiving oral sex. It plays a significant role in my sex life.”

“I adore oral sex,” explains Alaina, a 25-year-old queer person. “My fiancée and I were hesitant at first, believe it or not—she’s the first person I’ve ever given oral sex to, and vice versa. I love giving oral sex, and I love receiving it.”

“I like it. I actually like both giving and receiving regardless of gender,” Lynn, a 38-year-old bisexual woman, explains. “Though I will say that in my experience women are better at oral sex than most men.”

Oral sex is complicated, especially because so much of the messaging that we receive about vaginas is so negative.

Unfortunately, for many people, experimenting with oral sex can require that you push past layers and layers of shame, whether culturally based or based on specific negative interactions with sexual partners—no matter how much you, physically, love it.

“Love [oral sex]. Love giving and love receiving. Giving my partner a BJ is at a minimum weekly if not a few times a week thing,” Elizabeth, a 34-year-old bisexual woman, says. “Giving oral is a need for me. Receiving is awesome, but no partners have ever been into giving as much as I am.”

Elizabeth continued, saying, “My first relationship said I tasted gross, and for the six years we were together he couldn’t ever go down on me for more than 30 seconds at a time. Overcoming that shame has been so hard that I still majorly struggle with asking for it.”

Lynn shared similar difficulties with oral sex. “I struggle with how to explain exactly what I want to people when they go down on me. I feel like people (especially men) get really funny about being instructed sometimes,” Lynn says. “Also, I think I have the typical insecurities in terms of how I look and smell to someone who’s that close up with my vagina.”

Across the board, women deal with insecurity when it comes to oral sex, with studies showing that women are more likely to go down on their partners than men are, despite the fact that women tend to enjoy oral sex just as much as men—and orgasm more from oral sex than other forms of sex, especially the heterosexual standard of penis-in-vagina sex.

Too, oral sex can get complicated because of expectations specifically faced by queer women and femmes.

“I struggle a little bit with gender identity stuff, because I’m nonbinary, but my fiancée is extremely understanding and always wants to do things that make me feel good” Alaina explains. “I also think oral sex is a challenge because so many people see it as the be all, end all sex act for women and femmes who are in relationships with other women and femmes, as if having vaginas means that oral is all we do.”

One thing that can help with oral sex struggles is becoming a better communicator with your partner, mostly by getting to know your own body.

Gigi is all about masturbation as a way to get more confident. “Masturbate yourself straight into another universe,” she says. “Get a sex toy. Buy a vibrator. If you have one, you know what it can do for you. Knowing what makes you come as an individual person will better help you develop the language you need to communicate with a partner.”

“Your partner is not a mind reader,” Gigi says. “If you don’t know what you want or how you want to be touched, [they’re] not going to magically know.”

The more you try out different types of oral sex (there’s not just one way to do it!), whether that means trying different oral sex positions or trying oral sex-specific vibrators or other sex toys, the easier it’ll be for you to figure out what works best for your specific body.

If your partner makes you feel ashamed for wanting oral sex? You deserve a better partner.

Gigi keeps it simple. “If they don’t want to do what it takes to give you orgasms…go find someone who does!”

At the end of the day, if you don’t enjoy oral sex, it’s OK.

Not all women enjoy one sex act, just as not all femmes enjoy one sex act, or all queer people enjoy one sex act. That’s OK. “There are a couple of reasons some women don’t like oral sex,” Gigi says. “Maybe tongue and lip stimulation simply isn’t your thing. Perhaps it feels gross to you, too overwhelming, or weird. That’s OK. Not every sex act is for every person.”

But it’s also worth considering the ways that our culture leads us to stress about our vaginas, and how that can make us feel iffy about oral sex.

“It could be that you’ve grown up in such a sex-negative culture that oral sex makes you uncomfortable—being that exposed to your partner, getting something with nothing giving back to them, and focusing on yourself,” Gigi explains. “This is something to consider before completely writing off oral. It might take some personal internal work to get you to a place where you can relax enough to come from oral sex.” If that sounds possible to you, Engle recommends seeking the advice of a sex coach or sex therapist who can help you reach your goals.
