Zara’s Fall/Winter Collection Has Me Thinking A Lot About Houndstooth

I’m officially dubbing Zara my Fall Fashion Fairy Godmother because the brand’s all-new Fall/Winter collection is *Chef’s Kiss* perfection. As much as I love shopping for weeks on end to build up the perfect autumn wardrobe (what can I say, I love to shop!), I admit I could really just do a one-and-done trip to Zara and have everything I need. It’s almost too easy! If you, too, are dying to stock up on fall’s top trends even though it’s kinda still summer, then get to a Zara.

Fortunately for us, Zara has gone above and beyond to not only stay on top of rising trends but to give us options that don’t look boring and basic—and this season, it seems, is all about business-gone-disco. Think of office staples like blazers, shoulder pads and houndstooth prints, then make them party-ready!

Zara’s New In section consists mostly of black leather, hot pink and black-and-white houndstooth, all of which feel ridiculously on-trend but also somewhat timeless. No, you may not rewear that sequin houndstooth skirt for years to come, but classics like a good leather blazer, shiny black loafers and a patterned blazer dress tend to come back into style every few years, so investing in a piece or two from this new drop will serve your wardrobe well for years to come.

Read on to shop a few of the cutest items from the new collection. Remember that this is just the tip of the iceberg, with more fall and winter fashion hitting Zara (very!) soon.

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to the people, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.

Sequin Top

When you take a classic print like houndstooth, blow it up and add sequins, you create the perfect party top.

And when said party top has a matching mini skirt? Zara, you’ve blessed us with this one.

Draped Dress

I’m a firm believer that dresses worn dancing should have a fun colorway and a lot of stretch.

Zara has been slaying the handbag game lately. This faux-croc one is most definitely coming home with me!

Textured Straight-Leg Pants

Groovy patterned flares were in for summer, but black-and-white styles like this are the autumn equivalent.

Faux Leather Blazer

Wait, you don’t have a black leather blazer yet?! You need to buy this one, immediately. Thank me later.

Ripped Wide Leg Jeans

I was planning to wear these jeans with a white tee, but Zara’s styling has convinced me to wear them with that sequin top.

Denim Midi Skirt

Still trying to figure out if I’m 100 percent on board with long jean skirts, but I may have to give this one a go.

Heeled Loafers

I usually buy boots for fall at Zara, but his season I think I’m stocking up on loafers instead…
